In the Republic of Berim the great city of New Kerrigidan is steeped in chaos. A bitter struggle between several factions has divided the city leaving the police in the middle of the fighting outgunned and outnumbered.

The national army now surrounds the city in an attempt to quarantine the violence there. The prospect of an army trained and equipped to destroy enemy forces besieging a republic city puts many ill at ease.

A group of telepaths who were once servants of the people now struggle for their right to survive, while their old enemies struggle for the right to reign.

Religious fanatics divide the populace against itself inciting mobs and using fear to further the goals of their warped doctrine. Among their aims is the annihilation of all telepaths.

Foreign intrigues and agendas play out in the streets as the world watches this first stage of a coming era of instability.

Even if the city is saved; many other cities in the republic, and the world, are starting to unravel in the same way. The old order is unprepared and the new wave stands to wash it away leaving devastation and bringing another dark age.

Some say the republic cannot survive the troubles before her. Perhaps the rest of the world can avoid falling into the whirlpool of chaos caused by one of the greatest nations on the planet falling into an age of tyranny and violence.
